Some employees may commute for work-related tasks or jobs. If this is you, then chances are you are tracking your mileage. If not, you should because mileage is typically used as a tax write-off. The administrators or managers listed on your time clock account can turn the mileage option on for each employee’s profile. This allows the employee to enter miles they drove when they are punched in and on the clock. Only the administrator has the ability to see mileage on the time card and rename it.
Setting up mileage is simple and easy:
You will need to turn on mileage for your employees after you set it up.
Administrators and managers can add mileage on the time card page by selecting Add Day. Next, select the employee’s name and select Add Mileage. From here you simply input the amount of mileage in the Total Count and add notes if needed.
Employees also have the option to add their own mileage when they go to punch out for the day. Textboxes will be displayed to the employee. These boxes will allow the employee to enter a note and the amount of mileage that he or she traveled. See additional time clock features you and your businesses can benefit from.
